Mountain biking has always been an integral part of the centre and the development of a small network of purpose built trails has raised the profile within the park even more.
If you are looking to become qualified to lead groups on or off road then we have a good variety of courses for you. This year, the centre is able to deliver Cycling UK’s Mountain Bike Leader Awards, along with a variety of Cycling Scotland’s Awards, including Bikeability training, Cycle Trainer and Cycle Ride Leader.
All Ability Bike Nights
During the season we run weekly bike nights that offer young people and adults with a physical, sensory or learning disability the opportunity to cycle under the guidance of OE staff.
Each year we try to offer a couple of guided bike journeys. These multi-day trips are a great chance to explore different parts of Scotland while all the logistics, planning and transport is taken care of.
New for 2019…we are now offering bike hire to the public. We have a good selection of bikes and tag-a-longs to make cycling and mountain biking within the park even more accessible than ever before.
With a small network of purpose built mountain bike trails, and excellent links with Blairadam Forest, Loch Leven Heritage Trail and Harran and Benarty Hill, Loch Ore is the perfect place to start a ride.
